Hi, I’m Justin Harnick, and I’m originally from Port Washington on Long Island, New York. I moved to Tennessee to attend Belmont University, and I’ve loved it here ever since. Today I live in the Gulch and work in Franklin — and despite it being a culture shock to move here, I have no intention of leaving.
I work with families and individuals to create financial strategies that bring clarity and peace of mind — whether that’s protecting income with life insurance, preparing for retirement, or preparing for the unexpected. These are the core areas where many families begin, and they remain the foundation of long-term security. That said, one of the things I’m most passionate is in what I consider advanced estate strategies — rooted in a belief that customized financial strategies can turn uncertainty into stability.
Growing up, I saw firsthand how divorce, health struggles, and other family problems — and the financial strain that comes even to middle upper class families— can put enormous pressure on relationships. Those experiences taught me that life is often messy, and it’s why I focus on helping clients face complexity with confidence rather than fear.
Whether it’s setting up a special needs trust, helping families pursue wealth preservation while navigating the sheer cost of mental illness in the family, structuring divorce settlements with tools like QDROs (Qualified Domestic Relations Order) and pension division, or philanthropic efforts like charitable giving, I see these strategies as a way to bring structure to messy situations, protect what families have built, and ensure their strategy reflects not only financial goals but also values like fairness and giving back.
Outside of work, I love doing mixed martial arts, writing, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Ultimately, my role is simple — to listen, understand, and design strategies that fit your life, not a cookie-cutter template.
